Do you have a retail store? 

No, we primarily sell online.  This enables us to provide you the finest quality merchandise direct from the source at a very competitive price

Is the gemstone or jewelry piece I'm looking at in stock?

Yes, all of the gemstones and jewelry you see listed on the website are items currently in stock and available for purchase

I can't find the item I wanted on the site anymore. Can I still order it?

It depends.  If the item was sold and there was only one available, then you cannot order the exact stone as each item is unique.  If the item was rotated off the website when updating our new collections, it may be still available. Email us at info@amazonimportsgems.com to inquire.  Even if the item is out of stock we will do our very best to find a comparable item for you.

Do you have a catalog or price list?

We don't currently have a print catalog.  Our website has all of our current information.

Why should I sign up for an account?

There are various benefits for signing up for an account including:

      • Complete access to your order history.
      • Faster checkout with your address book and billing information.

How do I place an order?

Placing an order is easy and secure and can be completed in two steps  Choose the item(s) you want to purchase and select add to cart.  Proceed to checkout and enter your billing information to complete your order. NO REGISTRATION  is required to use our website but see benefits above about signing up for an account.

Do you offer any special discounts?

Occasionally we will send our subscribers special offers and coupons in appreciation for their business and/or opinions.

My email address has changed. How do I update my account?

You can update any information pertaining to your account anytime by clicking on the Log In button on our homepage. Once you Log In to your account, go into Account Settings to change your email or other information Gemstones.

Are your gemstones real?

YES. We ONLY sell genuine gemstones and guarantee that our gemstones are accurately identified. Should you ever receive a certified lab evaluation or colored gemstone report stating the gemstone you purchased from Amazon Imports is not authentic or different than the gemstone that was purchased, Amazon Imports will replace the item at no cost to the customer and also reimburse you for the actual cost of the certified lab evaluation.

What quality are your gemstones?

Our philosophy is to sell the highest quality gemstones at the most affordable prices. Each stone is individually selected by our Owner who has over 35 years of front line buying experience.  Each stone will be accompanied with a brief description that will accurately reflect its quality, including cut, color, or clarity.

Why are your prices so low?

With over 35 years of experience in purchasing gemstones and establishing an excellent network of suppliers and contacts, we can pass on the savings and value to our customers.  Also, without the expense and overhead of a retail store, we can pass on additional savings directly to our customers.

Do you guarantee your gemstones?

Yes. We ONLY sell genuine gemstones and guarantee that our gemstones are accurately identified.  Should you ever receive a certified lab evaluation stating the gemstone you purchased from Amazon Imports is not authentic or different than the gemstone that was evaluated, Amazon Imports will replace the item at no cost to the customer.

Are your gems enhanced?

It depends.  There are various colored gemstones that are enhanced by trade-accepted practices like heating. Various gemstones are almost always enhanced, ex. ruby, emerald, sapphire, blue topaz, tanzanite, and citrine.  Amazon Imports does not sell gemstones that have been treated in non-standard ways such as bulk diffusion, glass filling, lasering, or coatings.  For additional information on how gemstones are treated, visit the AGTA website:  Gemstone Information Manual

Where are your gems from?

Amazon Imports purchases gemstones from around the world.  Whenever possible, we will list the origin of the stone in the product description.

Are your gems ethically sourced?

It is not always possible to tell where a gemstone originated after it has been cut and polished.  We have over 25 year relationships with many of our suppliers and do our best to assure that all our gemstones are ethically sourced.  We have been members of the American Gem Trade Association (AGTA) since 1995 and support its high ethical standards.

Why are gemstones that look the same have different prices?

There are many variables that determine a gemstones value.  In addition to the standard 4 C’s (cut, color, clarity, and carat weight), other factors include the type of stone,  its rarity, and marketability.  Minor variances in the intensity of the color, saturation, clarity of the stone, and how well its cut can make a substantial difference in price.

We offer gemstones in a wide range of qualities and prices. You can be assured that all our stones represent good value for the money.

Can you set my gemstone that I just purchased?

As a service to our customers, we have longstanding relationships with reputable jewelers who can set or custom design the gemstone of your choice.

What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept credit cards (Master Card, Visa, American Express, and Discover Card)

Do you charge sales tax?

Only for orders delivered in New York State.

Is it safe to use my credit card on your site?

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.

If you provide us with your credit card information, the information is encrypted using secure socket layer technology (SSL) and stored with a AES-256 encryption.  Although no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and implement additional generally accepted industry standards. When is my credit card charged?

Your credit card will be charged when your item is ordered.

What are cookies? Do I need to enable cookies on my browser?

A cookie, also known as a web cookie, browser cookie, and HTTP cookie, is a piece of text stored by a user's web browser. A cookie can be used for authentication, storing site preferences, shopping cart contents, the identifier for a server-based session, or anything else that can be accomplished through storing text data. You need to enable cookies to be able to add a specific product to cart and to checkout from there on.
